COVID-19 Journey
Author: 21 years old female, Lebanon
I am a very social girl studying political science in Beirut. Whenever the corona started, my daily activities in the university clubs I am in have been limited and many of my close friends traveled back to their homes abroad. As the corona wave became larger and larger, I had to spend most of my days locked in my room. I remember limiting my outings due to the fear I had of catching the virus. One day I woke up with a very bad throat pain and high temperature. I had to go to the hospital the second day and test for COVID-19 and unfortunately, I tested positive. I had to spend 14 days in complete lock-down until I was finally feeling better. Those 14 days were few of the hardest days in my life and it is because of them that I call myself a survivor.
