The 4/8
Author: Anonymous, 19 years old male, Lebanon
I started my day by going to my grandmother’s house which happens to be beside the port. We were sitting in front of the window and while sitting there, we noticed that the building beside us is moving. We first thought it was an earthquake so we wanted to go to the bathroom to hide but while doing so the second explosion took place. Everyone in the house started crying and shouting and one of our neighbors had a mental breakdown when her children were not home when the explosion happened. Glass was everywhere at home and on the streets. After calming down a little bit, I called all my friends to check up on them and even rushed to the AUBMC to donate blood to whoever needed it. It was a very sad sight to see a lot of people scared and injured.
