In 2011, IDRAAC received the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for part of the Best Medical Center in the Arab World, recognizing its leadership in mental health research, public awareness, and education.
IDRAAC won the Arab Social Creativity Award for its Elderly Empowerment Project, recognized among 130 projects in the Arab world for promoting employment, volunteerism, and leisure opportunities for older adults.
IDRAAC launched National Mental Health Day in Lebanon in 2003 under First Lady Andrée Emile Lahoud’s patronage, raising awareness through conferences, workshops, and media campaigns focused on mental health, particularly in children and adolescents.

USAID-funded, in partnership with SIDC, IDRAAC conducted mental health assessments to Social Workers, provided clinical consultations, and trained over 140 frontliners on topics related to mental health.
IDRAAC implemented the project “Community-Based Health and Protection Intervention for the Most At-Risk Syrian Refugees and Host Community Members, in Particular Older People and People with Disabilities, in Jordan and Lebanon.”
