Depression, anxiety and memory impairment among geriatric inpatient subjects
Abstract
In Lebanon, older Adults constitute around 10% of the population, And this is expected to increase to 26% by 2050 (UNDP, ). However, Mental Health Research related to this age group in Lebanon is very limited. This pilot study was designed to study the following: (1) the Rates of Depression, Anxiety, And memory impairment in a clinical sample of older Adults (age 60+); (2) the socio-demographic And medical conditions associated with these Disorders; (3) the reCognition of these Disorders by the respondents And Caregivers; And (4) the Rates of current medication for these Disorders.
