The Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale for Adolescents (MARS-A) was translated into Arabic and administered to 133 Lebanese junior and senior high school students (mean age 15.54 yrs) in Grades 7-11. The scores of the students were correlated with their semester grades in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and with their overall GPAs. As the correlations accounted for moderate portions of the shared variance between the MARS-A and the achievement measures, it is suggested that the MARS-A should be included in the assessment batteries of Lebanese practitioners.
