32 female and 74 male Egyptian medical students answered a questionnaire providing insight into their attitudes toward family planning. About 25% of the males viewed family planning as intrinsically against Islam, in contrast to a much smaller fraction of the female sample. Most Ss were critical of the efficiency of the family planning services currently available in Egypt. Suggestions for improving such facilities were expressed, and some emphasis was placed on improving the working and living conditions for the rural physicians.
