Administered Arabic versions of Form A of the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF) and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) to 316 Egyptian undergraduates. The varimax orthogonal rotation procedure applied to the 16PF revealed 2 factors: neuroticism (N) and extraversion (E). The rotated varimax factors of the combined 16PF and EPQ inventories showed 3 factors: N, E, and psychoticism (P). Coefficients of factor similarity were high between the corresponding extracted factors of N, E, and P in the male and female groups. Results support the 2nd-order, broader factors of the EPQ and 16PF. N, E, and P factors appear to be highly replicable and invariant.
