1 Year after the Blast #BeirutBlastAftermath
The aftermath of the Beirut Blast drew immense community support from everyone.
Looking back at a year of pain, losses and tears, our team worked relentlessly to help alleviate the effects of the communal trauma everyone was and still is experiencing.
The third biggest explosion in the world has had enormous psychological effects on thousands of people.
We, at IDRAAC, are developing and conducting studies that highlight, in numbers, the short and long-term effects of the blast, alongside other factors such as the Pandemic and the economic situation in Lebanon. This also highlights the importance of research to be able to help everyone who was subjected to the traumatic event and understand why some people are more affected than others.
One year might not be enough to get over symptoms of the trauma we all experienced amidst the Beirut Explosion.
