Job Description:
Position Overview: IDRAAC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Grants Officer. The Grants Officer will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support IDRAAC's mission and projects.
Responsibilities:
Grant Research and Identification:
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with IDRAAC's mission and objectives.
- Stay informed about funding trends, priorities, and opportunities in the mental health and research sectors.
Proposal Development:
- Prepare and develop grant proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and guidelines.
- Collaborate with program managers and researchers to gather necessary information for proposal development.
Grant Management:
- Oversee the entire grant application process, from submission to reporting.
- Monitor grant timelines, ensuring compliance with deadlines and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications, awards, and reporting.
Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential donors, funding agencies, and partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information for donor cultivation and stewardship.
Financial Oversight:
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting in grant applications.
- Monitor and track grant expenditures to ensure compliance with donor guidelines.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates on grant activities and progress.
- Prepare regular reports on grant activities for internal and external audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, nonprofit management, public administration, etc.).
- Proven experience in grant writing and management.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with mental health and research sectors is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
