On November 11, 2018, Dr. Georges Karam from IDRAAC ran his first marathon for IDRAAC as part of a great initiative: the #onemore campaign which helped in providing mental health awareness and treatment for the Lebanese population.
Last year’s campaign was amazing in numbers and impact:
- $42, 195 raised
- 1,000 needy patients treated
- 800 runners
- 80 42K runners including myself running their first marathon
and this would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, supporters and donors.
In fact, we all run, some of us run from our anxiety, while others run from depression, abuse or suicidal thoughts maybe some of us cannot even remember what they are running from.
This year, we are running for those with Alzheimer, to raise awareness for those who are being bullied, for those who are depressed or anxious and those who are running for something better.
This video summarizes our run:
Dr. Georges Karam is also running #onemorerun for IDRAAC and our team is working passionately for this cause that could transform so many families.
You can support us this year at the Beirut Marathon as well and help in providing treatment for 1,000 more patients by:
1-Registering a team of your employees and colleagues to run for our cause on https://www.bmaregistration.org/.
For every runner registered under our name, Beirut Marathon will donate 25% of the registration fees to IDRAAC.
2-Donating to our campaign on our donation section
3-Purchasing the Mental Health Hero Kit and supporting the treatment of one patient
We hope that we can count on your support!
